If you would like to book WITCH for your secondary school, college or university, please get in touch with me via my contact form. I will be more than happy to meet you to discuss the issues and themes the play explores and the ways in which those issues are equally as relevant in the 21st century as they were in the 16th.
We have already performed to 200 Year 8 English students as part of their exploration of persecution and 'the Gothic' and to a group of university students to support the witchcraft module they were studying as part of their degree. All of 2018's bookings were from universities and I am currently looking at ways to present my research so it is more meaningful for them and their studies.
We've had a number of teachers in our audiences since 2016 and they have all left feedback to the effect that all Year 9 students should see the play - in fact, one teacher wrote something very similar in our feedback book last year. If you'd like to give your students a very different experience and a new way to learn about the past, please contact me.
Here is some feedback from one of the university student groups to whom we performed:
"We were impressed by everything: the historical research, your thoughtful and reflective approach to it, the passion and commitment you all felt to the story, the detail of your performances..."
And feedback from teachers who have seen the show:
"Wonderful portrayal of a sensitive subject - all Yr 9 classes should see this for persecution context!"
"Should be in every 11-18 yr school."
